‘Bitcoin Jesus’ Roger Ver Says He Doesn’t Have to Shell out the $21M He Owes Genesis

Bitcoin evangelist Roger Ver stated in a Reddit article yesterday that he has “sufficient funds” to pay out now-bankrupt crypto broker Genesis the $21 million he owes, but argued that he doesn’t have to.

“I have sufficient resources on hand to pay back Genesis the sums allegedly owed, and I’m joyful to fork out what I really owe. Having said that, Genesis was demanded by our arrangement to continue being solvent—as Genesis simply cannot talk to its purchasers to perform a “heads customers get rid of, tails Genesis wins” game,” he wrote in response to a article in the Bitcoin subreddit inquiring, “Did Roger Ver get rekt?”

Ver, who acquired the moniker of “Bitcoin Jesus” as an early adopter of the technologies, responded to the publish yesterday, then on Wednesday early morning shared a screenshot of his comment on Twitter.

But CoinFLEX CEO Mark Lamb claimed on Twitter that Ver owes the enterprise $47 million and claimed he’d now been issued a default observe for failure to pay back up.

Ver named the assert “blatantly bogus,” incorporating that CoinFLEX owed him dollars, not the other way close to.
